Here at KW Sewing I specialise in bridal alteration, so your dream wedding dress fits you perfectly for your dream day!

You get a one to one appointments with me, so you get a more personal touch, and all my brides have up to an hour for their appointment so there is no rushing the process.

My bridal work varies from standard alterations to more bespoke work, like added sleeves/straps, and bespoke cape and veil construction, so there is something to fit everyone!

I am based in Bristol, in Westbury on Trym. This is where I have my lovely little sewing room as well as a room where I do the fittings. The address is given when booking an appointment.

There is a car parking space in front of my sewing room for my brides to use.

1st Fitting

For your first fitting with me, we will get you in your dress right away. From that point we will discuss the alterations you need, and what sort of look you're after. I'll be pinning away as we chat through everything. It's at this point we would discuss if you wanted anything bespoke, such as sleeve, straps, capes or veils!

Once the appointment is over, I will then email you a detailed invoice with everything we have discussed.

2nd Fitting

When you come for the second fitting, we will be looking at how all the alterations that were planned from the first fitting, are feeling/looking now they have all been sewn. Also we will be checking if we need to do any more tweaks before the big day.

If more tweaks are needed this isn't problem at all, most brides need two to three fittings. I should be able to tell at your first fitting and can book in more appointments when needed.

Big Day Ready

Once you have had all your fittings, and your dress is fitting like a glove, you're ready for your big day!

During your last appointment, we will have a final look at everything on the dress, I'll show you how to do the bustle at the back if you have one put in, and I will have given the dress a steam before you pick it up so it's all ready to go.

All The Bridal Party

Mother of the bride/ groom need her dress doing? Bridesmaids too? Or got an up coming prom? Not a problem!

I love doing multiple people from the bridal party! It's so lovely to meet your mum, sisters, friends, and to make sure their dresses are all fitting as well as yours.

I have also done a wide variety of prom dresses, its so fun to see all the different colour dresses coming through my door!
